> Synergist for aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and intumescent FR
> Smoke-suppressing synergist for halogenated flame retardants
> Non-halogenated and environmentally friendly
LIMAX CHEMICAL PTE LTD, based in Singapore, specializes in supplying flame retarding additives for use in various plastics materials. Developed by LIMAX, PSF-7050 functions as a halogen-free synergist to enhance efficiency of commonly used commercial grade flame retardants for plastics.
Why shall we use PSF-7050?
PSF-7050 is highly efficient as a synergist for the following three classes of flame retardants.
I. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide
As non-halogenated flame retardants, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide are widely used in various plastic materials. However, in order to meet the performance targets, it is not unusual that a great quantity of aluminum hydroxide or magnesium needs to be added into the resin, thus either deteriorating the mechanic properties of end product or inducing difficulties in plastics processes such as extrusion, injection molding and so on. And use of PSF-7050 as a synergist is able to remarkably boost flame retarding efficiency and dramatically reduce the required quantity of aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide.
II. Halogenated flame retardants
It is common that antimony oxide is used as a synergist with halogenated flame retardants. But in some cases it may worsen the smoke-releasing problem. PSF-7050, a relatively low-cost and non-toxic substitute for antimony oxide, shows good performance in both smoke suppressing and flame retarding.
III. Intumescent flame retardant systems
PSF-7050 can also be used as a synergistic component in an intumescent flame retardant system to further boost flame retarding efficiency.
